History

The land on which Hickory Hills now stands was originally a tobacco farm owned by the Seres family. The first model home opened in 1986. During that 1st year, 35 homes were sold and building commenced for Phase 1, the first street being aptly named Seres Drive. Between 1987 and 1991, Phases 2-4 were built. In 1993, Phase 5 started and for the first time, slightly larger homes were built and many of the new homes now included basements. By the time Phase 7 was completed in 2005, Hickory Hills had 437 units consisting of 384 houses, 40 garden homes and 13 condominiums.
